I’ve been writing here every day for the past 3 weeks. They say it takes 21 days to create a fortified habit. So am I there yet? Not quite.
So what’s the holdup?
There are definite advantages I’ve seen from writing every day. I get a chance to reflect briefly on my thoughts before writing, I get a chance to share some of my thoughts and lessons with other entrepreneurs, and most importantly writing is helping me keep my priorities with work straight.
Each day when I open up the editor I think of the most important thing going on in my life right now and in my business, and that’s what I write about. Going over the posts for the past 3 weeks it’s easy to tell where my head has been. That’s a huge advantage, especially when you think about the day when you’ve got 200 posts in a row and can go back and look at your progress.
Maybe this is closer to journaling, and for now that’s fine. I don’t pretend to think that I have all of the answers for business, but I do think that sharing what I’m learning as I go is a humble and helpful thing to a lot of others in my shoes.
So I’m going to keep with the writing. I have been doing it first thing most mornings with my coffee, but sometimes I slip up and check my email first. Got to stop doing that. Having a blank mind from which to begin drawing that inspiration is a must for getting clear thoughts out on paper.
So I hope you’ve been enjoying the posts thus far. I’ll keep at it until somethjng changes. But for now, off to get to work and move one step closer to my goals.
